Yesterday I had some down time in between tasks and I always like to tinker or create tools to help improve processes or workflows.

There are times when a tester needs to manually create combinations of letters, numbers and unique characters to create long strings of texts to test a game’s input fields which can be tedious and inefficient.

So a tool I developed was a Junk Data Generator. This tool generates randomized test data using letters, numbers, special characters, and foreign language characters, allowing QA testers to quickly create diverse input strings for validation testing.

Two features I added was to be able to toggle the types of characters and the number of each type. In the future I want to create a feature to mutate usernames for validation testing instead of it only generating random strings of characters.
